Pakistan dismisses US Religious Freedom Report
Pakistan has rejected America’s findings on international religious freedoms.
On Friday it dismissed the US State Department’s section on Pakistan was unsubstantiated and based on biased assertions.
A statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office said it does not support it does not such reports that make observations on the internal affairs of sovereign states.
According to the report issued by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), religious freedom conditions in Pakistan “generally trended negative” in 2018.
It added that extremist groups and others had continued to discriminate against religious minorities, and attack them.
While Pakistan said it was implementing a comprehensive National Action Plan on Human Rights.
