Pakistani Minorities in KP demand 5% quota for govt jobs
Members of various minority groups have demanded of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government implements a five per cent quota for government jobs.
All Pakistan Hindus Minority Rights Chairman Haroon Sarabdyal said there was no transparency in minority funds and each department should publish its records of expenditure.
He added that there was no census and that the population of minorities had increased, thus there was a requirement to raise the minority job quota to five per cent.
Mr Sarabdyal said sincere efforts were needed to further improve the plight of religious minorities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Adding that the funds which were being given to the minorities in various heads should be distributed through a cross cheque, because this method would not allow an opportunity to corrupt people to embezzle funds of the minorities.
