Among others, the angry gang beat up four young people and one elderly person, causing the Christians to lock themselves in their homes out of fear and terror.

Three days later Christian leaders of neighbouring Christian colonies got together and met the City Police Officer and produced the injured victims before him asking him to provide protection to the Christians.
