Pakistani Christian man arrested on suspicion of blasphemy
A Pakistani Christian man has been arrested and interrogates after being accused of blasphemy.
Police registered a case against Saleem Masih, 28, under section 295-B of the Pakistan Penal Code
Saleem is a resident of Shantinagar, the Village that was attacked by Muslims on February 06, 1997 and is still reeling from the nightmare.
The incident is still affecting local people’s lives, and the attackers were not brought to justice.
Saleem was arrested on June 13, and he is still in police custody under investigation.
His family, who have not been allowed to meet him, approached DSP and SP Khanewal regarding this case.
They also approached CLAAS -Pakistan office and asked for help.
